The staging has an element of 'Oscar performance' cheesiness about it...

but you can't beat the beauty and power of those voices!

    John Paul: How about China?

  2. I have no idea what this is, but I have to say, the balding guy's facial expressions and awkward hand motions werewere quite entertaining.

  4. Um, that bald guy with the (admittedly) awkward hand motions is Anthony Warlow, only the greatest singer who ever lived, *ever*.

    Respect the Warlow.

  5. I watched some clips of him singing other things. Yes, he is good, but I don't particularly enjoy his singing. There's not any emotion and there's nothing different about his voice. And sorry, but I just can't get over those hands (apparently he always flails them around). He's far too theatrical (and not in a good way). Greatest singer who ever lived? Nahhh. Try Michael Cerveris or Colm Wilkinson or Michael Ball or Len Cariou.
No, I'm not opinionated or anything ;)
