I have seen five of the ten (I was speaking of "The Lives of Others" to Genna last night, actually) and agree with four and a half of them (the Jackson movies irritate me on many levels, particularly since I consider the adaptations to be anti-conservative in the liberties taken with the novels, and yet compared to most films made today, an argument for the ostentatiousness of the conservatism might well be made).
I really need to give 'TLOO' another whirl. As Eleanor knows, several scenes close to the beginning of the movie *traumatized* me and I had to shut it off. (I'm such a wimp!) But, that which didn't traumatize me totally engaged and moved me!
