Things to smile about this week.

My favorite recurring feature on Genna's blog is her 'Happy Friday' post in which she lists those things currently making her smile. I thought it might be nice to appropriate that brilliant concept for the family blog, switch it to the beginning of the week (so we're not too derivative) and provide one another with things to smile about over the coming days. :)

So, herewith are the things I'm smiling about this week:

- These lounge pants from Anthropologie. (Genna! My catalog finally came!!)













- The Mother Teresa statue at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

- The new Wayne Weible book. (That's my mom's yellow plate on the cover and the table is the round one from our family room!! The bread came from Farm Fresh.)

- Space Oddity by David Bowie.

- Stationery!

- Shakespeare and Modern Culture by Marjorie Garber.

- Wasa crackers.

Can't wait to hear what's making everyone else smile!

I think I may have discovered the ugliest shoes in the history of shoes...from Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 collection. Talk about nightmarish! No, I wouldn't do this even for the sake of high fashion.

addendum: But these from Chloe are absolutely fabulous. This is where Genna closes her eyes and falls into a daydreaming reverie. :)
